With 103 rooms in total and 9 types of room categories -the Beach bungalows have a private terrace and outdoor bathroom, whilst the Deluxe Beach Villas - with and without an outdoor Jacuzzi, are private cabanas with swings and an outdoor bathroom. The Sun Aqua Pool Villa, also styled like a cabana, has a large private pool and swing, whilst the Reef Villas- with or without sunset views, have an outdoor jet tub and a private sun deck. The Grand Reef Suite – having 2 spacious bedrooms is a good option for larger families.
There are 3 restaurants and 2 bars at the resort to choose from. The Aqua is the main restaurant featuring international cuisine all-day dining and Maldivian favourites. Speciality restaurants include The Well Done on the beach which serves fresh seafood, whilst the Spice serves Italian fare by day and reverts to Indian cuisine by night.
There is a comprehensive selection of experiences and activities & Vilu Reef is excellent for Water sports. The house reef which is just 30 metres from the shoreline is a fantastic swimmable reef. Guests can explore underwater caves, and coral-covered shipwrecks or even children can take dives with their families together. Other resort activities include a game of tennis or badminton, private yoga classes, live music or DJ nights to the beat of the drums. There is a comprehensive spa facility with a wide range of treatments from therapeutic aromatherapy massages to ayurvedic rituals, flower baths, scrubs, hydrotherapy area and steam baths. For those wanting to go a bit beyond in an adventurous spirit, exploration of the lagoon by canoe, sailing tips and sunset cruises aboard a catamaran or traditional Dhoni, island visits for dolphin sightings, windsurfing, and banana boat rides are available.
The Travel Gallery Take – Vilu Reef is a good value for money All-Inclusive property, with flexible accommodation for families and offers a good range of dining options.
