Furaveri Resort & Spa

Located in the exotic Northern Raa Atoll 151km from the Male International airport Furaveri is reached by either a 45-minute scenic seaplane journey, or a 20-minute domestic flight followed by a 45-minute speedboat transfer. Set on a large island, the 23-hectare coral island is rich with life on and around the island’s waters.
With 168 rooms, this is a large resort with many island-based villas and just 44 overwater units. The hotel offers a range of cosy options for your stay, from beach and garden villas to luxurious Dhoni Pool Villas and over water options. A feature of the property is the spacious rooms, simply finished in a light modern wood and many offering expansive sea views. After opening in 2016, the resort was expanded and fully opening in 2020.

The island has 5 restaurants and bars, including the all-day dining restaurant Jaafaeiy, speciality Asian fine dining Raiyvilla and Mexican restaurant Amigos. Udhares Bar is great for all day drinking looking out to the horizon, whilst Athiri specialise in Maldivian style snacks perfect for a light meal. With meal plans from bed & breakfast to their ‘Premium All Inclusive’ package, including a wide range of premium alcoholic beverages, there is a meal plan to suit most guests.

Being a larger island, in addition water sports and diving, the island has plenty of activists including a tennis court and gym facilities. Furaveri has its own house reef to explore just steps of the beach. With a large Spa and wellness centre, there is an extensive range of different treatments and excursions.

The Travel Gallery Take – Located on a large island and in the relatively remote Raa Atoll, we like this property which offers a good standard of 4*+ facilities. The villas a very spacious & the island doesn’t feel crowded. The flexibility offered with the food and beverage packages sets it apart from some of the other all-inclusive hotels.
