Aliya Resort & Spa invites you to relax and unwind, far from the hustle and bustle of city life. Conveniently located in Sigiriya close to the ancient sites of Sigiriya and Pollonnaruwa, the property has been designed to feel like living in a village amongst lush greenery and decades old indigenous trees and chena growth of the dry zone of the Central Province.
The name of the resort, is taken from the word ‘Aliya’ meaning elephant in the Sinhala language.
The accommodation consists of 96 deluxe rooms and 18 tents. All the rooms (deluxe and tents) are air-conditioned, have overhead fans, tea/coffee facility, mini bar, WIFI, electronic safe and LCD television.
The deluxe rooms are within two storey chalets, which have four in one unit. Each room has a private balcony. There are also deluxe rooms with attics, which contain 02 single beds, ideal for families. The deluxe category have suites, which have 2 bedrooms, with separate living, dining, pantry areas, home theatre system, plunge pool and sauna.
The tents are set up on wooden deck platforms, with a spacious bedroom and a private terrace. There is an adjoining annexure to the tent with a bathroom which has a large bathtub, shower stall, toilet cubicle and washbasin.
The hotel has a stunning view of the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, as well as the Pidurangala Rock Temple. There are three specialty restaurants which serve a range of Chinese and other International cuisine. There is also a Spa which has Ayurvedic treatments.
