Situated in the heart of the Galle Fort in Church Street the Fort Bazaar opened in early 2016 and is an excellent addition to the Galle hotel scene. The 18 rooms are suites are situated around an inner courtyard. Once occupied by Spice and Gen traders, the hotel has been beautifully restored and evolved into a high quality hotel.
The is a trendy bar and coffee shop style restaurant within the hotel and with the Fort a wide variety of places to eat and drink outside of the hotel. Apart from exploring the beautiful walled Dutch Fort of Galle, the hotel offers a range of excursions in the surrounding area, whale watching from Mirissa, beach excursions or riding through the paddy fields on an escorted cycling tour.
