Leopard Trails - Wilpattu
Set on the edge of Sri Lanka’s largest and oldest national park, Leopard Trails Wilpattu blends the charm of a bygone safari era with considered luxury. Spacious canvas tents offer en-suite bathrooms, real beds and thoughtful touches for comfort – some have pools - while the setting itself, under a canopy of trees and alive with birdsong, keeps you close to nature.
Wilpattu’s vast landscape of scrub jungle, sand-rimmed villus and hidden waterholes is less visited than other parks, offering a quieter, more intimate wildlife experience. This is prime leopard territory, and also home to sloth bears, elephants, mugger crocodiles and an extraordinary range of birdlife. Game drives are led by expert naturalists, and time in camp is relaxed and atmospheric, with drinks around the campfire and beautifully prepared meals served under the stars.
